DSL, VDSL and FTTx, OPTICAL FIBER
The Internet offer of CloudTel includes a wide range of data connectivity solutions based on different technologies that guarantee maximum reliability and the ability to offer tailored configuration to meet your business performance needs. The service allows the customer access to the Internet based on the technology commonly known as DSL (ADSL, SHDSL, HDSL) or by FTTx technology based on fiber optic infrastructure or VDSL (mixed: optical fiber + copper line). CloudTel’s offer to be able to connect the customer to the Internet world includes a wide range of solutions for high-speed broadband connections: let’s see them in detail.
ADSL
ADSL solutions
The solution for those who want high performance in download ADSL lines are recommended for those customers who manage high volume traffic primarily in download.
In shared bandwidth there are different access possibilities, which can be activated either on Ethernet or ATM network, a selecting the MCR that best suits the needs of each specific customer.
S/HDSL
HDSL and SHDSL solutions
For companies that needs high reliability and superior stability and require high performance even in upload. The connectivity HDSL / SHDSL offer customers superior performance in terms of uploaded data traffic, latency, and connection stability. Broadband connectivity S / HDSL can be either activated in Ethernet technology (where available) or with ATM technology.
Shared fiber
The speed of the optical fiber for everyone
Solutions for shared Fibre FTTx.
The speed of the optical fiber FTTx connectivity are data lines based on fiber optic technology in shared bandwidth mode and provide the highest standards in speed both download and upload, providing high stability characteristics, a new and technologically advanced network structure. FTTx data lines, according to the territorial coverage can be based either on the FTTH mode “Fiber To The Home” (the fiber-optic network directly reaches the end-user premises), or on FTTC technology “Fiber To The Cabinet” ( the fiber reaches the distribution cabinet and from there on twisted pair of copper line reaches the premises of the customer). In the case of Fiber to the Home, you can reach speeds up to 100 Mbps in both download and upload. Fiber to the Cabinet with the maximum attainable speed is 50 Mbps in download and 10 Mbps in upload.
FTTH (Fiber To The Home) |
Max. speed Downstream | Max. speed Upstream |
40/40 | 40 Mbps | 40 Mbps |
100/10 | 100 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
100/100 | 100 Mbps | 100 Mbps |
FTTCab (Fiber To The Cabinet) |
Max. speed Downstream | Max. speed Upstream |
30/3 | 30 Mbps | 3 Mbps |
50/10 | 50 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
All types of physical connections with different minimum guaranteed bandwidth options (MCR) are available.
Dedicated fiber
For customers that require highest speed and dedicated bandwidth
The dedicated optical fiber solution is a type of broadband connectivity based on Ethernet technology and is offered to companies, requesting highest level of stability and performance.
Compared to regular copper cables, the so-called “twisted pair”, fiber optic cables are using light for transmission of data and are capable of carrying much more data / information per time.
The CloudTel solution offering:
- high data transmission capacity;
- dedicated symmetrical bandwidth and guaranteed bandwidth equal to the nominal;
- bandwidth declared by the provider;
- FLAT Internet access, no additional cost;
- TLC equipment on loan basis;
- Customizable solutions able creating VPN networks or local networks.
